C492 4-flute milling cutters are manufactured from powder metal high speed cobalt for longer tool life and improved performance. The Alcrona coating further extends the life of the tool and also gives improved performance when milling difficult to machine materials. With a 35 degree helix to reduce vibration and improve performance in CNC machines, C492 cutters also have a long series flute design with HRA profile to break chips, for efficient roughing of deep profiles. For roughing when plunging, ramping and profile milling in steels, stainless steels and cast iron, C492 cutters are very versatile.
